Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026
The short version
- Sleep On It works without an account. Your wishes, photos, prices, budget, income and settings are stored only on your device. We never receive them.
- There is no advertising and no tracking across apps. The app only sends anonymous usage stats (for example “a wish was added”) that can’t be linked to you, and you can turn them off in the settings.
- Purchases are handled by Apple or Google; we use RevenueCat only to check whether you have Premium.

2. The app
Data on your device
Everything you enter – wishes, photos, prices, links, your piggy bank budget, your income for “hours of work”, your savings goal and settings – is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us. If you delete the app or use “Delete all data” in the settings, this data is removed.
Backups
If you export a backup, the app creates a file on your device. You decide where to save or send it. We have no access to it.
Adding wishes from a link
When you add or share a product link, the app loads that page directly from your device to read the product name, image and price. The shop receives the same information as when you open the page in your browser (for example your IP address). The shop's privacy policy applies to that request. We do not receive the link.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No notification server is involved.
Purchases and Premium (RevenueCat)
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are paid through the Apple App Store or Google Play; we do not receive your payment details. To check whether you have Premium and to restore purchases, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA). RevenueCat processes an anonymous, randomly generated user ID, purchase and subscription information from the store and technical data such as the app version and operating system. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the contract). Data may be transferred to the USA on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. More: revenuecat.com/privacy.
Anonymous usage stats (PostHog)
To see which features are used and where people drop out of the setup, the app sends anonymous usage events to PostHog (PostHog Inc., USA), stored on PostHog’s EU servers in Frankfurt, Germany. An event says, for example, that a setup step was opened, a wish was added, unlocked, let go or bought, or that the Premium screen was opened, sometimes with a number or category such as the waiting time in days. It never contains names, prices, links, photos or anything else you enter. PostHog also receives technical data: app version, device model, operating system, language and time zone. The app stores no identifier: every app start gets a new random ID that exists only in memory, so different sessions can’t be linked. No user profiles are created, and IP addresses are discarded and not used to determine a location. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can turn this off at any time under Settings → “Share anonymous usage stats”. Where PostHog Inc. accesses data from the USA, this is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. More: posthog.com/privacy.
Feedback by email
If you send feedback from the app, your mail app opens with a prepared message that includes the app version and operating system. We use your email address and message only to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and delete them when they are no longer needed.
App stores
Apple and Google process data when you download the app or make purchases, under their own privacy policies. If you have allowed it in your device settings, Apple may share anonymous crash reports and usage statistics with us.

Hosting
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). When you visit it, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested and your browser type in order to deliver the site and protect it against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Beta list
If you join the beta list, your email address is stored with MailerLite (UAB MailerLite, Lithuania, EU) together with the time and IP address of your sign-up and confirmation (double opt-in). 2.
